Economic development commission
The Town Of Farmington's Economic Development Commission is comprised of seven individuals, representing various business interests, who volunteer their time and carry out commission duties established by ordinance. The Economic Development’s mission statement, approved by the Town Council in their strategic plan, is to promote the growth of the tax base through programs and processes designed to encourage business retention, expansion and attraction while maintaining the character of the community.
The Commission meets the second Wednesday of every month at 5:30 PM. Projects that have filed their applications with the Town Planning and Zoning Department and are seeking a positive referral from the Economic Development Commission can contact the economic development office to be placed on the Commission's meeting agenda.
